形態特徵

• Dioecious shrub or small tree, 3-10 m tall, glabrous; branches relatively slender, yellow-brown to dark red, ascending, 4-angled.
• Petioles 5-20(-23) mm long, slender, angular, not wrinkled, without pseudo-ligule; lamina 6-12(-14) cm long, 3-5.4(-6) cm broad, obovate to oblanceolate or narrowly elliptic, apex obtuse or rounded to shortly cuspidate, margin recurved, base cuneate, thinly coriaceous, dull, lateral nerves prominent beneath.
• Inflorescence terminal, many-flowered, in broadly pyramidal to subcorymbose panicles pedicels 3-7 mm long; flowers 4-merous, plane, in bud globose. Male flowers with outer 2 sepals subcircular, rounded, 6-7.5 mm long and broad, inner 2 longer (8-10 mm long), rounded, all cucullate, margin entire; petals greenish-cream to yellow, fragrant, 12-14 mm long, 6-7 mm broad, obovate-spathulate, margin plane, entire; stamen fascicles free, erect or ascending, linear or broadened upward, each with many stamens, anthers subglobose, dehiscing longitudinally, sessile or subsessile on capitate apex of fascicle; sterile fascicles absent; rudimentary ovary obconic. Female flowers with similar perianth; staminodial fascicles absent; sterile fascicles short, thick; ovary globose, stigmatic mass 2-lobed, sessile.
• Berry yellow, 1.8-3 cm in diam., depressed-globose, smooth.

• 台灣 : South Cape. in woods or scrub. Lowlands.
• 世界 : South China, Hong Kong.
